Use of Frequency Monitoring Code (FMC) near Cumbernauld Airport
From 3 September 2026, pilots flying outside controlled airspace near Cumbernauld ATZ or the Cumbernauld runway 25 Instrument Approach Procedure (IAP) are strongly encouraged to establish two-way communication with Cumbernauld Radio.
Pilots flying outside the Cumbernauld area but within the Glasgow or Edinburgh Frequency Monitoring Code (FMC) area should tune and monitor the appropriate frequency/channel before selecting the corresponding transponder code.
