This website is run by the UK Civil Aviation Authority. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons. 

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations 

  1. There is information on the Details about cookies page that is presented in a layout table that should be in a data table.  This fails WCAG 2.2 success criteria 1.3.1 Info and Relationships. 
  1. When keyboard focus is placed on the Skywise home page link, the focus indicator causes the link text colour to fall below the minimum required colour contrast ratio.  This fails WCAG 2.2 success criteria 1.4.3 Contrast (minimum). 
  1. The content of the tables on the Details about cookies page are unreadable when viewed on a mobile device or when zoomed into 400% on a desktop.  This fails WCAG 2.2 success criteria 1.4.10 Reflow. 
  1. The skip link on the Skywise home page is missing a target.  This fails WCAG 2.2 success criteria 2.4.1 Bypass Blocks. 
  1. On the Cookies page there are duplicate headings.  This fails WCAG 2.2 success criteria 2.4.6 Headings and Labels. 
  1. Some labels are not descriptive enough on the Email notifications page and on the Cookies page.  This fails WCAG 2.2 success criteria 2.4.6 Headings and Labels. 
  1. On the Alerts page the pagination has an accessible label that does not match the visible label.  This fails WCAG 2.2 success criteria 2.5.3 Label in name. 

Preparation of this accessibility statement 

This statement was originally prepared on 1st June 2020. It was last reviewed on 14th August 2026. 

This website was last tested on 14th August 2026 against the WCAG 2.2 AA standard. 

The test was carried out internally. The most viewed pages were tested using automated testing tools. A further audit of the website was carried out to the WCAG 2.2 AA standard. 

The Website Accessibility Conformance Evaluation Methodology (WCAG-EM) was used when deciding on which pages to test.
