Update to CAA form SRG2153 and associated guidance

The UK Civil Aviation Authority has revised Form SRG2153 and updated associated guidance for booking Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) and Instrument Rating (IR) skill tests.

The revised form allows ATOs to submit a provisional skill test booking request before candidates complete the relevant training course. ATOs may propose a preferred examiner, where they are aware of an examiner who may be available to conduct the test. Examiner designation remains the responsibility of the CAA.

The changes are intended to support earlier planning of skill tests and help reduce delays between completion of training and conduct of the associated skill test.
