UK PPL(BA) and UK CPL(B) licences no longer being issued after 1st October 2025

As part of the Licensing and Training Simplification Project, UK CAA will no longer be issuing UK PPL(BA) or UK CPL(B) after 1st October 2025. 

Students currently training for the UK PPL(BA) or UK CPL(B) will have until the 16th September to submit their application for licence issue, in order to guarantee having their UK PPL(BA) or UK CPL(B) issued prior to the deadline. 

Any applications received after this date will not be guaranteed to have a UK PPL(BA) or UK CPL(B) issued. Students who have trained for the UK PPL(BA) or UK CPL(B) and have their licence issued after 1st October 2025, will be issued with a Part BFCL BPL.
