Alert: SW2025/386

UK Part 26 Compliance for non-UK TC and STC Holders

Generic exemption ORS4 No. 1619 and Skywise message (SW2025/027) have been issued to extend the deadline for compliance with UK Regulation (EU) 2015/640, Annex I (Part 26), paragraph 26.370, to 28 February 2026. This extension allows the TC/STC holders’ data required under paragraphs 26.300–26.334 to be made available to UK aircraft owners, operators, and CAMOs ahead of the exemption expiry date.

Regarding UK CAA regulatory approval of this data, the CAA has adopted the following policy:

  • In cases where EASA is the State of Design (SoD) for EU products, the CAA will accept EASA’s output regarding compliance with EASA Part 26.
  • In cases where EASA acts as the Validating Authority (VA) for a foreign SoD other than the UK, the CAA will accept EASA’s output regarding compliance with EASA Part 26.
  • In cases where EASA has accepted FAA FAR Part 26 compliance output under the FAA–EASA TIP, the CAA will also accept this recognition as demonstration of compliance with EASA Part 26. Securing evidence of the above is sufficient prior to implementing data into aircraft AMPs for compliance with paragraph 26.370.

Please note, where the UK is the SoD and the UK CAA issued TC/STC, or where an EASA acceptance or approval has not been received in accordance with the points above, this policy does not apply and paragraphs 26.300 – 26.334 requirements are to be complied in full with an application to UK CAA.
