Student ATCO Unit Applications Launch

The CAA is expanding the new Manage Personnel Licences Service and launching organisation accounts. This will allow air traffic units to view their team’s licence records, apply for licences and certificates on their behalf, and track application progress.

Organisation accounts will go live in Mid-August 2026 for Student Air Traffic Controller (ATCO) licence applications. Once live, all applications for a Student ATCO licence must be made via the Manage Personnel Licences Service instead of form SRG1421.

Applications to add an additional rating to a Student ATCO licence should still be made using form SRG1421 until that is moved to the online service in late-September 2026.
