SN-2026/001 Changes to Aircraft Seating by Organisations other than the OEM or TSOA holder

The UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has published a Safety Notice (SN-2026/001) Changes to Aircraft Seating by Organisations other than the OEM or TSOA holder.

All Design, Production and CAMO organisations are strongly advised to read the attached Safety Notice and act on the recommendations.

It is recommended that Design Organisations implement the considerations outlined within the SN when undertaking Changes or Repairs to seats (and other articles holding Technical Standards Order Authorisations (TSOA)), to demonstrate continued compliance with previously established Minimum Performance Standards (MPS).

The purpose of this Safety Notice is to highlight the considerations necessary when designing and implementing changes or repairs to aircraft seats (and other TSO’d articles).
