ROAAS Exemption Expiry – Action Required

Following the expiry of CAA General Exemption ORS4 No.1641 on 30 June 2026, which provided temporary relief from compliance with UK Part 26.205(a) due to industrial constraints affecting ROAAS availability, operators of affected aircraft must achieve full compliance from 1 July 2026.

Operators intending to continue operations without ROAAS are required to apply to the CAA and submit a safety justification, including a risk assessment and proposed mitigations.

Early engagement with the CAA is strongly recommended to ensure continuity of operations.
