Radio Operators Certificate of Competence (ROCC) – Notification of the Extension to Validity of Privileges

CAP 2192 published in July 2021 advised Radio Operators Certificate of Competence (ROCC) holders that the validity of privileges would expire on 31st December 2025.

The ROCC validity of privileges are being extended for a further 3 years.

Therefore, all ROCCs remain valid until 31st December 2028 (providing they are signed by the licensee in accordance with the Wireless Telegraphy Act (WTA) Aeronautical licence holder requirements), unless revoked by the CAA or cancelled at holders request. It is the holder’s responsibility to renew the ROCC prior to expiry.

ROCC holders are required to be in possession of their ROCC when exercising the privileges of the certificate and certificates must be available for CAA inspections upon request. ROCC holders are reminded of their responsibility for ensuring that their contact details remain up to date and they remain up to date with all associated published documentation.
