New database for accredited Flying Display Directors
The CAA will soon be launching a database for accredited Flying Display Directors (FDDs), featuring comprehensive and continually updated information of all current UK-issued Display Authorisations (DA). The CAA is planning for the website to go live on the 1st May.
This new initiative is designed to significantly streamline the workload of FDDs by providing a secure, easy-to-use platform where Display Authorisations can be viewed and downloaded, supporting the effective planning and safe execution of flying displays across the UK.
As part of this project, we are contacting all DA holders to offer the opportunity to opt out should you prefer that accredited FDDs are unable to view your DA via this system.
If you wish to opt out — either now or at any point in the future — please email ga@caa.co.uk
