DAP1916 Statement of Need Form Update

A new version of the DAP1916 Statement of Need form has been published. The update introduces additional questions for sponsors seeking an ‘Applicability and Policy Alignment Check’ (APAC) (CAP 1616 V5.1, paras 2.8–2.11) and for Airspace Change Proposals (ACP) involving Performance-based Navigation (PBN).

These questions clarify the information the CAA requires to assess proposals, enabling faster processing of APAC and ACP submissions, whilst hopefully reducing the need for clarifications before a decision is made.
