Help Us Improve the Student Air Traffic Controller Unit Application Process

We are continuing our work to improve the Manage Personnel Licences service and are looking for unit representatives, supervisors and others involved in supporting Student Air Traffic Controller licence applications to take part in a user research session.

We want to understand how well the service supports organisations that apply on behalf of students, test key features, and gather feedback to help shape future improvements.

Session Details

When: Wednesday 23rd, Thursday 24th & Friday 25th September 2026

  • Walk through the new application process and complete specific tasks.
  • Explore features available to organisations supporting student licence applications.
  • Share open and honest feedback on the application experience.

No technical or regulatory expertise is required. We are interested in understanding how well the service supports users in carrying out their role and where improvements can be made.

If possible, participants should join using a laptop or desktop computer rather than a tablet or mobile device.

Important Technical Requirement

To access the test environment used during the research, participants will need to provide their organisation’s public IP address in advance of the session.

If participants are unsure how to find this information, they can visit What Is My IP Address and share the public IP address displayed on the page.

Why Take Part?

Your insights will help ensure that the Manage Personnel Licences service is intuitive, accessible, and genuinely useful for organisations supporting Student Air Traffic Controller licence applications. The feedback gathered will directly inform future improvements and help create a smoother experience for both units and applicants.

Given your role and extensive network, we would be grateful if you could share this opportunity with suitable contacts who may be willing to participate.
