Quantum technology outlook for aviation
The CAA Strategic Research and Intelligence team has published Quantum Technology Outlook 2025.
The report looks at quantum technologies, computing, sensing, and communication, will shape the aerospace industry. It highlights the UK’s strong position in global investment, the near-term potential of sensing and secure communications, and the longer-term role of quantum computing. The report explores the need for Post-Quantum Cryptography to counter future cyber threats and calls for early collaboration between innovators and regulators to ensure safe, scalable adoption and prepare aviation for a quantum-enabled future.
