Component strip reports

We have published Safety Notice SN 2019/006 to advise owners and Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisations (CAMOs), responsible for an Aircraft Maintenance Programme (AMP), to request component strip reports from maintenance organisations and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) so that they can review the effectiveness of their AMP.

A strip report is a common term used for a report on the condition of a component after it has been removed from an aircraft. A strip report is produced by a maintenance organisation or OEM and should be available whether the component was part of a scheduled or unscheduled removal or repair.
