The Voluntary Industry Resilience Group (VIRG) was formed to improve the running of the UK’s aviation network, with the aim of:
- – Enhancing its day-to-day operating resilience.
- – Reducing delays.
- – Reducing (where possible) the associated costs to both industry and passengers.
Its final report, published in January 2018, proposes a list of recommended actions to alleviate problems in the South East, to be implemented mainly through the new Operational Directors Liaison Group.
