Directive – overseas based UK registered aircraft

From 25 August 2016 new EASA operating rules affecting non-commercial (private) operations came into force.

The rules covering ‘complex’ aircraft apply to operators established in an EASA Member State regardless of where the aircraft is registered. The purpose of this Directive is to extend the applicability of the rules to also apply to UK registered complex aircraft being flown non-commercially by an operator established outside an EASA Member State.
